Zachary Keeting and Christopher Joy visit the studio of painter Peter Acheson.
Speaking about the influence of the rural landscape around his studio on his work, Acheson comments: "Nature doesn't put the details in, the details are there. They come out – at any scale… Then you step back and it's all rhthymically, organically whole… I began to amplify that… if the painting is working there's going to be plenty of detail and that organic wholeness… The green world doens't give a damn whether I like Mondrian or not, or whether I'm hooking something up between Mondrian, Miro, and formalist painting… I'm going to really try to find a union between where I am, the way it's working on me spiritually, and my studio work."
