Levi Rubeck reviews the exhibition Lyonel Feininger: At the Edge of the World at the Whitney Museum of Art on view through October 16, 2011.

Rubeck writes: "…the growth and variety of [Feininger's] production serves as a fascinating take on art straddling creation for its own sake and the influence of the outside world… The blowing up of form and playing with positive and negative space and how that works in regard to light is Feininger's true strength…"
