John Yau reviews the exhibitions David Goerk: Recent Works at Howard Scott Gallery (through February 25, 2012) and Martha Clippinger: Hopscotch at Elizabeth Harris Gallery (through February 4, 2012).

Yau writes that "While their work and praxis are very different, Goerk and Clippinger make objects that are neither – technically speaking – sculptures nor paintings, but are informed by both."
